Withers advises Astro with the sale of the majority shareholding in MED Computer to R-Store

Stefano Cignozzi, Corporate Partner at International law firm Withers, together with Senior Associate, Francesca Nobili, were pleased to have assisted Astro with the sale of the majority shareholding in Med Computer to R-Store.
With the acquisition of Med Computer (and its subsidiaries Juice, Rekordata, ICT and Med Innovation), R-Store is to become Apple's number one Premium Partner in Italy and among the most important in the world, boasting over more than 100 stores, 900 employees, and €600 million in revenues.
Med Computer was founded in 1982 by Sandro Parcaroli and was among the first official Apple retailers in Italy operating both in the retail and B2B sectors.
Stefano and Lucia Parcaroli – son and daughter to founder of MED Computer - are to remain key managers and executive in Med Computer, ensuring continuity and experience to R-Store's management team.
The acquisition by R-Store has been financed by Cassa Depositi e Prestiti, Medio Credito Centrale, Sace and Bnl-Bnp Paribas, that acted as arranger and agent for the pool of banks.
R-Store were assisted by Avv. Marina Rosito, Partner at LCA Studio Legale, together with Associate, Claudia Barone, and were responsible for coordinating corporate, antitrust and banking aspects of the transaction.
Manuela Dignani of Studio Dignani Saccani, acted as financial advisor to Astro, whereas Antonio Cavazzini of Studio Losi-Cavazzini acted as financial advisor to R-Store.
