Representing cultural institutions
We work with some of the world's most influential commercial galleries, as well as a number of the most prominent art advisers in New York and London.
In addition, we represent a wide range of well-known art museums and galleries, including the UK’s National Gallery and the four Tate galleries and act for a number of private museums, art galleries and foundations, both in the US and the UK.We offer comprehensive legal services to our art gallery clients, whether they are conducting business in the gallery, at art fairs or elsewhere on behalf of international artists and collectors. This includes advising on income and sales tax, consignment, sale and purchase and agency agreements, and general commercial transactions of all kinds.
Our commercial property team has represented numerous galleries, such as Hauser & Wirth, on their expansion around the world, including negotiating leases and tenancy agreements.
