Public Prosecutor v Soon Ah Yong @ Dennis Soon Yang Shiun - [2011] SGDC 284 - a case where a purposive approach of legislation was applied and the offender's actions in assisting an agent without an employment agency licence was held to be in breach of is obligations under the law and against public policy.
Defended case concerning vulnerable young offender
PP v ASR [2019] SGCA 16 - A case that was heard by a panel of five Court of Appeal Judges (including the Chief Justice) which determined that the culpability of a low IQ offender convicted of a serious crime is lesser than normal persons and the option of Reformative training should not be excluded simply due to the seriousness of his crime and his low IQ.
