Michael is an associate in our corporate team.
He advises employers and executives in all aspects of employment law. Mike’s litigation practice focuses on representing employers and employees in single-plaintiff employment matters involving allegations of wrongful termination, discrimination, retaliation and harassment, as well as wage and hour disputes. His counseling practice includes advice in connection with state and federal employment law, and he regularly assists employers with preparing employee handbooks, employment contracts and personnel policies. He also conducts workplace investigations and collaborates with human resources professionals and in-house legal teams to solve workplace issues and ensure compliance with existing law. Mike also advises founders and executives on employment agreements, severance packages, and other issues arising during and after employment.Prior to Withers, Mike defended and counseled employers on a broad range of employment litigation and counseling matters at an AmLaw 100 law firm. He has also served as a plaintiff’s side employment litigator, focusing on single-plaintiff cases, class actions and Private Attorneys General Act (PAGA) matters. Mike began his legal career as a law clerk with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.
