A dual qualified lawyer in Italy and New York, Marco specializes in international dispute resolution, dealing with both commercial and public international law matters.

He has acted as counsel and advocate for construction and energy companies in international arbitration proceedings under the ICC and the CAM Rules arising from projects or transactions in the Middle East, CIS, and Mediterranean region. Marco's experience covers post-award proceedings, including enforcement cases under the New York Convention and setting aside proceedings before the Italian courts. With a six-month secondment in a multinational fashion company, Marco has also developed an expertise in commercial distribution matters.

Having previously worked at the Milan Chamber of Arbitration and as deputy counsel in the Swiss-Italian Case Management team at the ICC in Paris, Marco's counsel work benefits from his inside perspective on institutional arbitrations.

During his LLM at New York University, Marco acted as Graduate Editor for the NYU Journal of International Law and Politics. The Italian Society of International and EU law awarded Marco's final thesis at Bocconi University the Padovani Prize for the best of the year on international law matters.

ME IN A MINUTE

I always try to bring my curiosity towards people and different cultures to my professional life

My passion for dispute resolution, which was first sparked as a teenager watching movies such as 'A Few Good Men' or 'The Rainmaker', brought me to law school and has accompanied me ever since.

Over the years I realised my attraction was to the international dimension of human interactions and consequently, legal issues. This led me to study and work in Milan, New York, and Paris as well as learning English, French and Portuguese. Now based in London, dealing with international arbitration, human rights, and ESG matters, I feel I am in the best place to pursue my interests and take advantage of my mixed civil and common law background.
