Katy is an associate in the private client and tax team.
She is a dual qualified US lawyer and English solicitor in the private client and tax group in London. She advises on a broad range of trust, tax and estate planning issues, both domestic and cross-border, for charity clients, individuals and trustees. Her practice focuses on assisting clients with dual US-UK qualified estate plans and planning for clients with complex multi-jurisdictional issues. She also assists US citizens with expatriation.
During her UK training contract, Katy carried out seats in the Family, Real Estate and Charities teams in London.
Katy helps clients with US tax compliance and reporting obligations, and she assists individuals, trusts and trustees, and other entities with respect to their Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (FATCA) and Common Reporting Standard (CRS) classifications and obligations. She also advises on charitable giving and has experience advising on the establishment and operation of US charitable vehicles, particularly as part of dual qualified charitable structures.
