Me in a minute
At the heart of my legal work is my broad range of academic study and varied life experience.
As a member of the LGBTQ+ community with an argumentative streak, teachers and relatives were telling me from early on that it would be law or politics for me – they were right, but the somewhat circuitous route into law via specialist teaching of students with challenging behaviour enabled me to pick up a knack for explaining things, a sense of humour in adversity and a determination to never give up on anyone or anything!
In my time at Withers so far, I've enjoyed working with both corporate clients and individuals, in a variety of areas of law. I particularly enjoy work with problem-solving, strategic and multi-jurisdictional elements, as well as digging into back stories, where explanations and solutions to present issues can often be found.
I bring into my legal work my broad and varied life experience and lifelong love of learning. Together, these translate into a pragmatic awareness of the real world in which we all live and work and a natural empathy and appreciation of people from all walks of life, underpinned by rigorous and methodical technical knowledge and research. At the heart of my approach is my drive to respond and deliver promptly, with a view to the holistic picture.
