Beitris Yong

Beitris is a special counsel in the litigation and arbitration team.

Beitris is a seasoned dispute resolution lawyer with more than a decade of experience in commercial litigation, international arbitration, mediation and crisis management. Beitris regularly advises corporate and private clients in complex disputes and is experienced in resolving them; often finding the right balance in addressing countervailing factors in the clients’ best interests. She also possesses extensive experience in obtaining and setting aside emergency reliefs such as worldwide interim injunctions, anton piller search orders and disclosure orders. Her broad practice spans from representing clients in longstanding industries such as manufacturing and construction (having acted for a homegrown enterprise in successfully defending a high court suit filed by a global Japanese conglomerate) to newer frontiers such as digital assets and Web3 (having acted for and against decentralised exchanges and cryptocurrency platforms).

Commended by clients for being a strategic advisor with a keen eye for details, Beitris has succeeded in trials and hearings at various levels of the Singapore courts and before arbitral tribunals under major arbitration rules. She also frequently advises clients in mitigating risks, crisis management and pre-litigation strategy.

Outside of her regular work, Beitris is passionate about empowering younger women and has served on the Law Society’s Women In Practice and Young Lawyers Committees. She also spends time on the golf course for doses of sunshine and greenery.
