International law firm Withers has welcomed trusts and estates partner Caryn Young to its New York team. Caryn joins the firm from Day Pitney and has also previously practiced trusts and estates law at Windels Marx and Fox Rothschild.
Caryn’s work covers the whole range of trusts and estates issues, from advising on estate and gift tax planning, through to dealing with tax audits and managing the administration of estates. Furthermore, Caryn often assists clients with business succession planning and execution. Her clients comprise a wide range of professionals, business owners, well-known artists and their estates, as well as successful families.
Alongside her legal career, Caryn has worked in varied roles relating to international financial development issues, including as managing director, global head of programs, at the Financial Services Volunteer Corps, as project manager for the International Finance Corporation in Belarus and Ukraine and as a consultant in Ukraine and Kazakhstan for KPMG Peat Marwick.
