International law firm Withers has advised Concretene, a leader in the decarbonisation of the concrete industry, on their successful seed funding round co-led by Molten Ventures and Local Globe.
This funding round was co-led by Molten Ventures and existing investor, Local Globe. Concretene will commit this investment towards the development of their graphene-enhanced admixture product that reduces the carbon footprint of concrete.
Susanna Stanfield, Withers tech partner, comments: 'Concretene is a leading example of efforts to decarbonise the construction industry. Their work is transformative and provides a meaningful solution to one of the largest environmental challenges in the construction sector.'
Concretene aims to revolutionise the construction industry with their nanomaterial technology. To ensure commercial success, dependable and scalable supply chain partners are essential, and the product has been redesigned to use more sustainable feedstocks. For example, the 'Gen 2' product now utilises graphene materials derived from energy industry waste byproducts.
Susanna adds: 'We're proud to have supported Concretene in securing this investment, which will significantly advance the commercialisation of their graphene-enhanced technology. This investment will ensure the product reaches its full potential and create long-term value for both the market and for the planet.'
