Law360 and the Boston Business Journal feature John Serio in coverage of Withers' Boston office expansion
21 May 2024 | Applicable law: US
John Serio, Withers' Boston office managing partner, was featured in Law 360 and the Boston Business Journal to discuss the recent move to 100 Federal Street and the significant growth of the Boston office.
Withers relocated to a larger Boston office, five times larger than its previous space, to meet the needs of its growing practice. The firm first opened a Boston office in April 2021 but since then the Boston practice has grown to 21 people and an expanded offering of legal services that include intellectual property, life sciences, corporate, venture capital, tax controversy and litigation. “We needed more space, we needed conference rooms,” Serio said to Law 360. “We also needed a space that was befitting of our law firm.”
"Boston is clearly the trend in the legal industry and I think a lot of the financial industry is back to the office at least three days a week, so we needed a lot more — fairly Class A — space," John noted to Law 360. "Trying to get people into the office is a challenge and so you have to present them with something that is exciting to work in and gives them services and amenities that they just don't have when they're at home."
