The Connecticut Law Tribune has recognized Withers partner Stanley Bergman with a 2019 Lifetime Achievement Award, an honor reserved for those who have left a lasting imprint on the legal community of Connecticut.
Nearly 60 years ago, Mr. Bergman became a founding partner of the Bergman Horowitz & Reynolds law firm. Mr. Bergman would go on to see his New Haven firm merge with Withers LLP of Britain 40 years later, creating an elite global firm that caters to private capital and has deep roots in the state of Connecticut. To date, Mr. Bergman keeps an active practice in the firm’s New Haven office, advising on all phases of tax law, estate planning and trusts, business law and advising on pension plans.
The fifth annual Professional Excellence Awards highlight the excellent work and achievements of attorneys and judges across Connecticut. The 2019 winners have been determined through a panel review of submissions sent in from attorneys and firms from across the state. In all, 65 winners from more than 40 different firms and organizations across the state are recognized in this year’s class of honorees.
The honorees will be recognized at an awards reception on Thursday, May 16 at the Bond Ballroom in Hartford, Connecticut.
