Webinar | Charities Review of the Year

15 January 2025 | Applicable law: England and Wales

TIME: 3pm-5:30pm:

Our charities team is delighted to invite you to attend our upcoming Review of the year webinar on Wednesday, 15 January 2025.

In 2024, a change in government marked the beginning of a period of fiscal and social change for the UK- one which will have many implications for the charity sector.  Our Charities Review of the year webinar will take a look at the past year, with Philip Reed delivering our much-anticipated legal round up, reviewing key developments for charities across the sector. We will also be looking forward and sharing our predictions for what 2025 holds in store.

We are delighted to be welcoming several guest speakers on a diverse range of topics, including:

  • Alexander Herman from the Institute of Art & Law, who will discuss the hot topic of restitution
  • Radojka Miljevic, chair of the Charity Governance Code Steering Group, who will explain what the sector can expect from the revised Code.
  • A spotlight on Omaze, whose Million Pound House prize draws have raised more than £63 million for charities in the UK since 2020. Roger Waite will be in conversation with Omaze's James Oakes, taking a look at their innovative approach to raising money for charities.
